Welcome to our spring edition of NEOS Connect, the quarterly newsletter about all things NEOS. 

Spring for me always feels like a fresh start, and it’s a great reminder of the growth and opportunities ahead. With footy finals, the spring racing carnival and the warmer weather drawing us back to the beach, there’s always plenty of energy in the air. I know the past few months have been busy, so thank you for the incredible work you continue to do in supporting your clients and NEOS. In this edition, I’ll share some updates, insights, and new tools designed to make your job just that little bit easier. 

Third product on the NEOS Platform launching soon

I’m excited to officially share that we’ll be launching our third product on the NEOS Platform in the coming weeks!

In case you missed it, you’ll soon be able to offer three quality products in the one place. 

This marks a significant milestone in the development of the NEOS Platform giving you and your clients the choice you need. 

Watch this space!

Latest improvements to the NEOS Policy Servicing Portal

In case you missed it, we’ve made several new improvements to the NEOS Policy Servicing Portal, designed to make managing policies even easier and more efficient.  

We recently launched Premium Comparisons on the NEOS Platform, offering a simple way to compare and quote NEOS Protection, Encompass Protection and soon, Futura Protection. 

If you haven’t already tried it, I encourage you to give it a go and see just how easy it is to: 

  • compare premiums and projections 
  • use built-in guidance and display of close matches  
  • quote and apply from comparison without re-entering data and  
  • generate detailed reports. 

To enjoy this valuable tool all you need to do is: 

  1. Click on Policy Servicing Tab 
  2. Click on Premium Comparisons 
  3. Follow the prompts! 

In addition to this, last month, we also made the following enhancements: 

Proposal policies 

  • Advisers can now: 
  • View and make basic changes to policies in proposal status 
  • Update contact details, payment information, and beneficiaries 

We’re currently working on additional features for proposal policies, most notably a suspense tab which provides close to real time suspense updates and allows the upload of outstanding requirements. 

Widgets and client list filtering 

  • The homepage now includes widgets which provides advisers with a snapshot of their NEOS clients and where they are in the policy lifecycle. 
  • The widgets also act as a filter for the client list, meaning an adviser can quickly view all their renewal, pending lapse or proposal clients with one click.  

Inforce quoting tweaks  

  • Refined treatment of the Super Contribution Option under NEOS Protection Series 1–6 for better alignment with product rules 
  • Introduction of a semi-automated email for submitted increase inforce quotes. Operations now need to action these requests on receipt rather than after underwriting decision.

With our third product around the corner, we have two accredited webinar topics available for you to learn everything you need to know about the product and how to get started.

Encompass Protection: important product updates from 26 September 2025

Later this month, we’ll be making several product changes to Encompass Protection, effective 26 September 2025. These updates will be reflected in the updated Product Disclosure Statement and Policy Document (PDS) issued on the same date. 

What’s changing?  

We’re increasing the maximum sum insured on Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection Cover, as well as updating a number of definitions to align with current medical practice. 

All product improvements will automatically be passed back to existing policy holders. 

An updated Encompass Protection PDS, Adviser Guide and SoA dated 26 September 2025 will be available in the NEOS Library from the launch date. 

We will also have a full summary of the changes on our website from the launch date, or you can reach out to your BDM if you have any questions.  

Member Benefit Statements for Protect Super Plan

We’ll be sending your clients their annual Member Benefit Statements in the coming weeks for their NEOS Protection plans and Encompass Protection policies held inside the Protect Super Plan, a division of OneSuper, for the financial year ended 30 June 2025. 

We’ve made some important changes to the NEOS application process

On 18 August 2025, we made the below important changes to the NEOS application process: 

  • The commencement date you indicate in the initial application will now be actioned. This means, we won’t call you to provide the preferred inforce date of the application.  
  • For applications where the option to “put the plan/policy inforce as soon as possible” is selected, the policy commencement will take effect immediately after a standard rates underwriting decision is received, without requiring additional confirmation. 

Please note, applications with Revised Terms Decisions will still require confirmation of acceptance from you or your client before proceeding.

Why are we making these changes? 

We’re always looking for ways to make advisers’ lives easier. These changes will:  

  • reduce end-to-end processing times  
  • ensure faster policy implementation  
  • streamline the process for standard applications; and   
  • provide a more efficient service experience.  

Things you need to know  

The above process changes apply to all new applications submitted from 18 August 2025. There will be no change to the process for any existing applications already in the system.  

The colouring competition is back!
